My sunday nights are usually spent cleaning my house, catching up on homework, and giving my skin a little extra TLC to make up for all the damage I did to it over the weekend.

A couple weeks ago I came across this youtube how-to, and instantly became a fan of Michelle Phan. She has great ideas, mixed with easy how to demonstrations. The one posted below inspired me to start giving more care to my skin but she has tons of others from everything to make-up ideas, to putting feathers in your hair (which is surprisingly simple), or even how to wear a silk scarf. The girl gives you inspiration in every video, check her out!

“You have four years to be irresponsible here. Relax. Work is for people with jobs. You’ll never remember class time, but you’ll remember time you wasted hanging out with your friends. So, stay out late. Go out on a Tuesday with your friends when you have a paper due Wednesday. Spend money you don’t have. Drink ‘til sunrise. The work never ends, but college does…”
-Tom Petty

On that note, enjoy your Friday nights! Mine is just beginning, I can almost feel my 8am work hangover already ;)

*P.S. The video quality is terrible, but I like that some kid close to the stage decided to film there big finale. There are other videos from Arcade Fire at this years Coachella but this one makes me feel in the heart of it all!…Mark my words, next year I will be! :)))

DIY: Oxford cuties!

Found this little diy gem on: Bleu Bird Vintage Cost a total of 14$, and was really simple and fun to make! The shoes were 12$ at Payless (with the 20% text discount), paint was 2$ at Michaels, and I used a paint brush and sharpie I had lying around the house!

They aren’t quite done, but you get the idea! Enjoy your weekend lovies :))

Tilly’s terrible two’s…

Recently, this little Angel has picked up a terrible terrible habit: knocking anything and everything off counters! It was kind of cute at first, but she won’t stop and it’s turned into a real problem. All my champagne glasses have disappeared and the marble floor in our apartment is chipped (crossing my fingers that doesn’t come out of our deposit).

I’ve tried spraying her with water when I catch her starting to bat at things, but have seen no end in sight for this new obnoxious habit. What makes it worse, is she is so sweet it’s nearly impossible to punish her. I usually just end up nuzzling her, and smothering her in kisses. Can NOT wait for this phase to pass…if it ever does.

(As you can see, we enjoy sleeping together…she is so precious :)

As the sun is beginning to show it’s pretty little rays again, all I can think about is riding my bike through the park, and laying out till my body is bronzed to absolute perfection! With this time comes happy music that makes you want to frolic outside. Thus, let me introduce you to the queen of this genre: Feist. She’s been around forever and only really gained popular acknowledgement on her last album “The Reminder,” from which the little gem above can be found.

However, my ALL TIME favorite song of summer is her “Mushaboom.” Partly, due to the fact that I can relate. I like to open the windows, let the breeze roll through, put some lemon bars in the oven and clean the house. Yes, I mean clean the house to this little number. Don’t write it off just yet, trust me you will understand after listening to it a few times. I would of shown the video for “Mushaboom,” but I think “I feel it all” is one you want to run around and dance to after seeing it! So do just that! Enjoy!

Ode to my mother…

When I decided to start this blog, I re-hatched some of my past online endeavors and came across some pictures of my mother and grandmother (better known as, my Nonny). I thought they would be an appropriate first post, since they show my mom when she was about my age… She looks like a total babe ;)

My mom and nonny celebrating god knows what birthday. They both look gorgeous, the hair is amazing…

The last one I found is just my grandma circa 1948, she looks straight out of a Marlon Brando movie:
